More Camping Maumee Bay 2009

Macy scared of the silly story that Jade was telling. Macy could see her shadow and be scared.

Hanna was out! She must not have enjoyed Jade's story!

" See mommy I eat it all gone!"

They love the smores!

Addie was my Marshmallow helper.

Addie way so cute when I took this photo. She leaned over to her bear and said, "Smile Silly."

Addison had gone 24 hours with out any Dr. Pepper. Once she saw Jade's she was done for.

Sable was done sitting on the ground.
On Saturday we decided to run up the road to the pumpkin patch and pick out a few pumpkins.

I just like this picture of her.

I was getting Addie and the girls ready to go play and she said that she was all ready to go play dressed just like this!

Greyson's Gift

I saw this post on a blog that I check out all of the time. I am going to do my best to help and I hope that anyone that reads this and can help, will help to comfort a family on what I would think to be one of the hardest days of being a parent.

Posted by Meryntha on "Greyson's Gift" website:

I am looking for your help. Hospitals all across the country are in need of small, very small, baby blankets. In cases of fetal demise, babies are so tiny, even the smallest nursery blanket is much too big to wrap around their tiny bodies. I know how parents feel when they are presented with their tiny baby, for the first and last time. Having to deal with a large blanket that doesn't fit, is a distraction. And, unnecessary.

If you can sew or crotchet/knit, would you please help me to supply blankets for these mothers?what they need:12" x 12" and 24" x 24" flannel receiving blankets, in small pink, baby blue, white, and yellow prints. Use your best judgement, we don't want the prints of the blankets to detract from very small babies. The blankets also need to be double layered. For those who have already jumped in to help and have blankets other than the specifics above, DON'T WORRY! We can still use your blankets.Again, HERE is Greyson's Website link.

So whether you sew, knit or crotchet, you can make something very special for a greiving family.

Please send your blankets to:

4th of July 2009

Macy and Cissy

Addison, Aunt Melba & Uncle Paul watching fireworks in Perrysburg. We went for ice cream before we went to the fireworks. Then we found the place that we wanted to sit. It was great other then the big billboard that was right in the middle of the fireworks show. They moved them from the spot that they have been for the last six years. It was still fun!

BUM BUM BEAR!

I was laying in bed the other day and thought how am I ever going to get Addison to stop using her bum bum? I am the kind of mom that has a hard time taking things away from the little ones. I felt so bad when I told her she could not have it. Well my great and wonderful idea was to go to build a bear and have her put her bum bum in to a bear so that at night I would not feel bad because I had nothing to give her when she cried. I thought that I was so smart! Then I come to learn that parents have been doing this for years. So needless to say I am not the great and wonderful mom that comes up with the best idea ever. That is all right with me because even thought I was not the first mom to come up with this idea it stilled worked. Addison was so excited to get a new bear. They lady working there made me laugh. She said that I am the only mom that she has seen that had the kid take the bum bum right out of their mouth and put it into the bear. What can I say sometimes the band-aid method works the best.

The first night was a little hard. I sworn that I would walk in her room and find the massacre of the bear. Millions of pieces of bear laying ever where and Addison sleeping happily next to the carnage with the spoils of her bear war. Much to my surprise when I heard her crying in her room I walked in to find her digging at her bear trying to open it but he was still intact. I explained to her that now she was a big girl and that bum bum bear was going to help her to sleep. After that night it has been smoothed sailing. She takes Bum Bum Bear everywhere with her and they are the best of friends.

Free Juicy Juice Water Bottle

I filled out this form about 4 weeks ago. I received the water bottle in the mail today. Addison loves it. We all know how much the little ones love to get things in the mail and it was free what could be better!

Addison Getting Her Ears Pierced!

For about three weeks Addison has been asking us " When I get my ears pierced?" We have been putting it off for a while. This morning the first thing out of her mouth was. " I get my ears pierced today!" Jade and I laughed. Then we thought about it and she is about the same age as the other girls when they got theirs done so why not!

This is the look a two and a half year old makes when she is thinking what did I get myself into.
We had just gotten done watching a 6 year old scream her brains out while she got hers done.

I had Jade do the dirty work of holding her hands down.
I told him it was because I wanted to take pictures.
Any mom that has done this knows the real reason that I wanted to be the one taking the pictures!

She was great she only cried for about a minute. Don't you just love her dirty look?

Crack Kills

I have nothing more to say then this... The apple does not fall far from the tree!

Hanna was so excited to help with the dining room today. She was very helpful with scraping up the mud that Jade dropped from the drywall. I love the age of four she is still willing to help because she want to spend time with you and she think that every thing is sooo fun. The other thing that I am pretty impressed with is this girl has no problem with getting dirty. Macy would never be sitting on the dirty floor with out a towel under her knees.

Working so hard!

Macy's Big News

Macy at the grand old age of 6 years, 3 months and 8 days old lost her first tooth!! She was so excited to have finally lost one. All of her friends lost theirs months ago. I can not believe how old she is getting. I thought it was just yesterday that she got her first tooth. She was super brave. Not one tear was shed when it came out. Now the funny part was when Hanna asked if she could take one of her teeth out so that she could have some money. You have to love the way Hanna thinks.
